BookForge Refund Policy

Last Updated: June 2, 2026

BookForge is a product operated by Journeful LLC. This Refund Policy explains when payments for BookForge may or may not be eligible for a refund. By purchasing a BookForge package, you agree to this Refund Policy.

1. Overview

BookForge provides customized digital book creation services.

Because book plans, chapters, rewrites, formatting, covers, images, exports, and other generated materials are created based on your inputs and may begin shortly after purchase, payments are generally non-refundable once generation or paid processing begins.

Refunds are not guaranteed. However, BookForge may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

2. User Review and Editing Responsibility

BookForge is designed as a guided book creation process. You may have opportunities to review, edit, revise, approve, reject, expand, shorten, or regenerate parts of your book during the creation process.

You are responsible for reviewing the book plan, chapter drafts, revisions, images, formatting, cover materials, and final export before publishing, selling, submitting, distributing, or sharing your book.

If you are not satisfied with a draft, you should use the available feedback, editing, rewrite, and revision tools before approving or exporting the final book.

Your personal preference, change of mind, dissatisfaction with a draft, or failure to review and revise the book before use does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

3. Book Size, Page Count, and Scope

BookForge packages are based on estimated book size, selected package level, and included usage limits.

Page counts may vary based on formatting, font size, line spacing, image placement, trim size, chapter structure, export format, and the amount of content needed to create a strong book.

BookForge does not guarantee an exact page count unless expressly stated in writing. However, the final book should reasonably align with the approved book plan, selected package, and purchased scope.

If the book is likely to be much shorter or much longer than the selected package, BookForge may recommend a different package, ask for approval before continuing, or provide options to expand, condense, or adjust the book.

4. Refunds May Be Considered

BookForge may consider a refund, partial refund, credit, or other remedy if you were charged more than once for the same purchase, purchased the wrong package and have not used it, checkout completed but purchased features did not unlock, a technical issue prevented access and could not reasonably be resolved, BookForge could not provide the core paid functionality after reasonable troubleshooting, the finished book is materially different from the approved plan or scope, the finished book is materially smaller than the selected package size without approval or explanation, or the final export is missing major approved sections, chapters, or content.

5. Refunds Generally Will Not Be Issued

Refunds generally will not be issued because you changed your mind after purchase, do not like the first draft or generated content, provided incomplete or low-quality inputs, did not use available review tools, approved the plan or content and later wanted a different direction, requested changes that altered the final book, selected a smaller package than the idea required, expected guaranteed publication or sales, used a substantial portion of the package, had your book rejected by a third party, or violated the BookForge Terms of Service or Responsible Use rules.

6. Remedies Before Refund

If the final book is shorter than the selected package size, materially different from the approved scope, or missing major approved sections, BookForge may offer one or more remedies before issuing a refund.

Remedies may include regenerating or expanding missing sections, adding additional approved chapters or supporting content, providing extra rewrite or expansion credits, moving the project to a more appropriate package, issuing a partial credit, issuing a partial refund, or issuing a full refund if BookForge cannot reasonably provide the core purchased service.

7. Partial Refunds and Credits

BookForge may offer a partial refund or credit when part of the purchased service was delivered, generation resources were used, chapters, images, exports, or rewrites were already created, the issue affects only part of the purchased package, or a lower package would have been more appropriate.

BookForge may calculate partial refunds based on package usage, generation completed, credits used, exports downloaded, support time, and the nature of the issue.

8. No Refunds for Published or Distributed Content

If you export, download, publish, sell, submit, distribute, or share your book or generated materials, you remain responsible for the final content and how it is used.

Refunds generally will not be issued after content has been published, sold, submitted, distributed, or shared, unless BookForge determines that a refund is appropriate due to a major technical failure or other exceptional circumstance.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Before filing a chargeback or payment dispute, please contact BookForge at BookForge+support@journeful.app. We will try to review and resolve the issue.

If you file a chargeback after receiving access to the purchased service, BookForge may suspend access to your account, project, exports, or paid features while the dispute is reviewed.

Fraudulent, abusive, or bad-faith chargebacks may result in account suspension or termination.

10. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact BookForge+support@journeful.app.

Include your account email, purchase date, package purchased, book project title, a clear description of the issue, and screenshots or details if helpful.

BookForge may ask for additional information to review the request.

11. Review Timeline

BookForge will make reasonable efforts to review refund requests within a reasonable time.

Some requests may take longer if they require technical review, Stripe or payment review, project review, export review, or support investigation.

12. Final Decision

BookForge reserves the right to approve, deny, partially approve, credit, or otherwise resolve refund requests in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This Refund Policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.
